I. B. Ardhana Putra Ph.D. has been working as a senior lecturer in the Department of Engineering Physics – Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), for about 20 years now. He received his Ph.D. from The Graduate School of the Built Environment – University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, 1989, majoring in Acoustics and Noise Control.
He has been teaching and conducting research for under graduate and post graduate studies as well as industrial consultation in engineering acoustics, industrial and community noise control and assessment.
He has been actively engaged as a member of the advisory board for assisting the Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Environmental, Ministry of Transportation, Research Centre for Road and Bridge-Ministry of Public Work.
At national and international levels, he has been actively engaged in various higher education development projects. He was assigned for the establishment of a national policy for the development of Indonesian vocational education (1992-1994, Skills Toward 2020). He also a member of a national team for establishing the Higher Education Long Term Strategy for 2003-2010 (HELTS, 2003). He actively involved in establishing IQF (Indonesian Qualification Framework).
In addition, he has been actively involved in developing assessment instrument for the National Board for Accreditation since 2008. Recently, due to the government new policy in accreditation, he involves in refining the earlier assessment instrument for institution accreditation process from June – September 2013.
